Charcoal making has its own huge impacts on native forests. That being said, this charcoal can be used to purify water. Designs for various size are online at youtube, and other sites. We have listed a few which really stand out, and plan on mapping out this process further as our program develops.

SCD Hub serves a curated collection information supporting best practices in sustainable community development, at this time we are working closely with the new UNM Peace Engineering program improve the quality of our database and improve how it serves the short, medium and long term planning goals of projects.

We are working to document solutions for safe, affordable, accessible, and appropriate relationship with the lifecycle of water - from source to distribution, to disposal.
